"The blessing (and curse) of working with software is that it’s never finished. Small changes happen daily, and major overhauls happen monthly. Until you find product-market fit, you’re essentially a chicken running around with your head cut off."

"Date class however has numerous flaws: (...) It does not represent... date. Seriously, officially date is "[...] the day of the month or year as specified by a number [...]" whereas in Java it represents point in time without any specific calendar (day/month/year). It has 20+ deprecated methods, including getYear(), parse(String), and many constructors. These methods are deprecated for a reason, because they lead you to believe Date represents, you know, date."

"As a human being, you're multithreaded. You can type with multiple fingers, you can drive and hold a conversation at the same time. The only blocking function we have to deal with is sneezing, where all current activity must be suspended for the duration of the sneeze. That's pretty annoying, especially when you're driving and trying to hold a conversation. You don't want to write code that's sneezy.

" In the last years I’ve developed pretty large Single Page Applications with various frameworks or, when in a rush, mostly a mess of badly organized Javascript code that vomits jQuery calls here and there. "

"For some reason Front End developers never seem to be considered the most senior. As though hacking WPF or HTML/CSS was somehow less worthy. In fact, I think the front end is the most important part – it’s where all your wonderful n-tier architecture and multiple redundant geegaws finally meets users. And without users, everything else is just intellectual masturbation."

This is probably the best explanation of UI.

"Of course there are worse complexities than n2, like:n4: that sucks! Some of the algorithms I’ll mention have this complexity.3n: that sucks even more! One of the algorithms we’re going to see in the middle of this article has this complexity (and it’s really used in many databases).factorial n : you’ll never get your results, even with a low amount of data.nn: if you end-up with this complexity, you should ask yourself if IT is really your field…"

"warnIfOSX Loading the SizeOfAgent will probably fail, as you are running on Apple OS X and have a value set for java.io.tmpdir
They both result in a bug, not yet fixed by Apple, that won't let us attach to the VM and load the agent.
Most probably, you'll also get a full thread-dump after this because of the failure... Nothing to worry about!  "

I found it in confluence logs . Don't worry ,it is just another bug  not yet fixed by Apple!

Interesting reason to change code ...
"
** 2006-10-31: The default prefix used to be "sqlite_". But then
** Mcafee started using SQLite in their anti-virus product and it
** started putting files with the "sqlite" name in the c:/temp folder.
** This annoyed many windows users. Those users would then do a
** Google search for "sqlite", find the telephone numbers of the
** developers and call to wake them up at night and complain.
** For this reason, the default name prefix is changed to be "sqlite"
** spelled backwards. So the temp files are still identified, but
** anybody smart enough to figure out the code is also likely smart
** enough to know that calling the developer will not help get rid
** of the file.

"I think in any kind of design, you must drive for simplicity all the time. If you don't, complexity will nail you.  "   James Gosling

I agree. Simplicity of software is key to success .
For example my last game Dice Poker is example that complicated thing makes people to uninstall game very quickly .
Simple and addictive game is key to success.
It is exactly the same with any software application , OS and etc.

Snappier Loops
So, which of the four loops is fastest?
No, not for.
Not while either.
Definitely not for in. That one runs like a tortoise.
So then, it has to be do while, right? Sorry, no.
Alright, so that was a trick question. for in loops are the slowest. Sometimes they’re seven times slower than the others.

"If you're happy with what you've got and would rather not be woken up at 4.35am to be told there's a minor incremental update to the Foursquare app now available, switch off app update notifications completely. From the Android Market home page, press Menu > Downloads > Menu and hit the Notifications toggle. "

"As cool as it may well be to use Android 2.2's network-hammering wireless hotspot facilities to share your 3G connection with your laptop, it'll guzzle the power out of your battery like a dog sucking the jelly out of a pork pie. So use the alternative Tethering option - and connect your laptop via USB. Not as futuristic, but works better - and means you don't have to mess about with WPA2 encryption settings on both devices."
